This website provides key information on the wonderful world of my local, independent coffee shops. I live in Surbiton (Royal Borough of Kingston, London).

Comparison is near impossible because everywhere serves different coffee drinks.

Different beans are used. Different production methods are used, and customers' moods, requirements and tastes are never identical to those of others.

All coffee shops ask me 'which is your favourite, Patrick?'

Usually, the correct answer is the cafe which I am in at the time! Independent cafes are always the best!

Independent coffee shops are the way forward, for coffee lovers.

If you're rushing your coffee, you are not a coffee lover, you are an addict!

Caffeine is a drug. Drugs can be addictive. Addiction to anything is bad. Appreciation of positive qualities, should always be possible. Therefore, don't become an addict, learn to appreciate quality.

I regard Coffee Shops with up to only a handful of 'brother/sister shops', as 'Independent'. Any larger, and it becomes a chain of shops, throughout which identical coffee is served, and individual powers are lost.

I am a human being. I love this world, recognising that it deserves the utmost respect from us. It offends me when I see those who don't agree. I am a coffee lover, I have NEVER been such a weak addict, consuming coffee on-the-go, littering the globe with paper/plastic coffee cups. Pay due respect to the drink and the Earth. These cups are non-recyclable and ARE NOT HOW COFFEE SHOULD BE DRUNK!

Wags 'n' Tales

One of the best. Smooth, black coffee from the tastiest coffee beans around.

:)

A new coffee shop, in Surbiton, only two minutes from where i live! The best thing is the coffee, superb!
A new shop, recently opened, last week, so fortunately there is much space here with huge potential. I was asked last week about any predictable 'accessibility issues', as i travelled past, by the manager who has been of great help since. Much appreciated, thank you.
The shop name is a reference to the fact that pet dogs are welcome inside this spacious shop, with an owner. 'Cadbury' is the calm, peaceful, resident canine.

A ramp has been installed, inside as well, allowing everyone to access the shop fully.

A wide range of choices are available, coffee is supreme ;)

I am so lucky, having found another super coffee shop, that serves brilliant food as well. A licence to sell alcohol is owned. I admit that I am yet to experience 'the evening life' of this bar! Potentially very, very good.

Two coffee blends are offered to choose between. Either a single origin, Ethiopian coffee, supplied by 'Moonroast'. My favourite, however is an Ethiopian/Guatemalan blend, 'Red Brick' supplied by 'Square Mile Coffee Roasters'. My experience tells me that the fruity essence is supplied by the Ethiopian beans, complimented by the nutty essence of the Guatemalan beans. Wonderful.

Customers are given the choice, of either coffee beans, 'Red Brick' (Ethiopian and Guatemalan blend), or 'Moonroast' (Single origin Ethiopian ).

Coffee is brewed with fine precision, by all staff.

Ever-happy resident 'Cadbury' wags his tail for the photo opportunity!  The shop name is explained! Content, but not overly-friendly, quiet and serene... :)
